Get a Library Card

Kalama City Residents

Residents of Kalama do not pay for a card because they have paid taxes for library services.

We issue cards to adults 18 and older; we can also issue cards to children with a parental guarantor.  We issue one library card per household.  Come to the library for your card!

To get a card you will need:

  • Government photo ID
  • Proof of Kalama city residence, e.g., PUD bill or other official mail with street address
  • Mailing address: e.g., Kalama P. O. Box or street address

Non-City Residents

Non-city residents may purchase a library card for a yearly fee.  Government photo ID is required.  The fee for a library card is $40.00 per year, payable at the library via cash or check. Credit card payments may be made here: follow the prompts for >Pay Bill on Line>Library.  You will need to present a payment receipt to receive a card.  (Please note there is convenience fee of 2.95% with a minimum of $1.95 associated with all credit card transactions.)

Your library card also provides you access to the Overdrive/Washington Anytime Library via the LIBBY APP, which allows for borrowing digital books and magazines, as well as audiobooks!!

Made possible with funding from the Institute of Museum and Library Services through the Washington State Library, Office of the Secretary of State.
