Get a Library Card

Kalama City Residents

Residents of Kalama do not pay for a card because they have paid taxes for library services.

We issue cards to adults 18 and older; we can also issue cards to children with a parental guarantor.  We issue one library card per household.  Come to the library for your card!

To get a card you will need:

  • Government photo ID
  • Proof of Kalama city residence, e.g., PUD bill or other official mail with street address
  • Mailing address: e.g., Kalama P. O. Box or street address

Non-City Residents

Non-city residents may purchase a library card for a yearly fee.  Government photo ID is required.  The fee for a library card is $40.00 per year, payable at the library via cash or check. Credit card payments may be made here:  https://www.cityofkalama.com/home follow the prompts for >Pay Bill on Line>Library.  You will need to present a payment receipt to receive a card.  (Please note there is convenience fee of 2.95% with a minimum of $1.95 associated with all credit card transactions.)

Your library card also provides you access to the Overdrive/Washington Anytime Library via the LIBBY APP, which allows for borrowing digital books and magazines, as well as audiobooks!!
